I bought my Omnibook 6000 in July 2000. I'm not going to write detailed report because there are already lots of good Omnibook/Linux information available. One of the best sites is Chris Hanson's site.

I had this laptop for about 2 and half years and I didn't have any major problems during that time. The Hitachi HD broke after 6 months but a replacement from HP arrived in about 2 days. Fortunately I had current backups.
